As I work in Pain Management, I am constantly trying to find help for patients.
FMS seems to arise in those who have lived with chronic stress for years.
In order to get out of this you first have to learn to recognise those feelings long ignored and learn what needs to change. This book is a work book which enables those who want to tackle the root of their problems.
It is based on the work of Dr. John Sarno who recognises the effect of deep emotions in the creation of chronic pain.
FMS is a very difficult debilitating condition for which there is currently no cure, but through reading and understanding this book I know of a few patients who are currently making their way slowly back to well-being.
This constitutes success .
The book is easy to follow and can be and should be dipped into frequently.
I cannot understand why it is not published in UK but at least it is readily accessible through Amazon.

I did the 5 week program. I put aside anything else and made it my number 1 priority. I wanted to recover. I wanted to live! Nancy Selfridge and her mate have made a great effort in creating a plan for you to be healed. It's based on Dr. Sarno's years of research and success. I Know Doctor Sarno personally and he deserves a Nobel. But he missed a practical plan to heal some of the very very difficult patients with TMS, those with FM.
Plus, this program not only heals your body but helps you turn around your life aswell by making small steps each day and developing momentum.
CONGRATULATIONS TO NANCY AND THANKS SO MUCH.
DON'T HESITATE, A BOOK WON'T HURT YOU, WILL IT??

I thought this book must have been written for desparate idiots who just wanted to part with money, because after everything I had been through, read, tried, etc., there couldn't possibly be a nice neat 5 week plan to deal with Fibromyalgia. Still, I was desparate and figured I didn't have much to lose so I gave it a chance. When I started to read it I was even more skeptical... at first... Again, I tried to have an open mind. I was at the end of my rope. This seemed to be somewhat of a recurring theme for me with this book. I kept thinking that this was ridiculous. I wasn't angry! But I kept going... The results were nothing short of amazing! I think that was about 10 years ago. I got my life back, but better. I can't say I never have problems, but my symptoms are at least 95% better. This was absolutely the best money I spent on my treatment. I recommend it to everyone who suffers with FMS. If it works like it did for me, you'll be eternally grateful. If not, at least you tried. I confess I still think the whole idea seems a bit wacky, but it worked for me! I'm so glad I tried it!

This book helped me to recover from Fibromyalgia. Now I'm ready to start living life!
The five week plan is very detailed and guides you through the process. The majority of this book is based on Dr John Sarno's groundbreaking work, but has been modified by Dr Selfridge to be more pertinent to Fibromyalgia suffers.
