5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product 4 Jun 2008
Highly recommended. Quality Product. Very small and quicker at writing than my other freecom 500GB external HDD, so no need to worry about writing speed. Very very small, fits in palm of my hand and it only needs USB to function - no extra external power supply.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great External Hard Drive 25 July 2008
    By Chaz
I was looking for an external hard drive to start storing some of my photos (my C drive was always complaining it was full)

This is very small, easy to set up (just plug it in and it's ready to go), very quiet (it doesn't have a fan), powered by USB so only one wire (no power cable) and it looks pretty smart too!

    250GB for on £60 isn't bad either!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tow years of these 26 Sep 2008
I've used these Freecom drives for a couple of years: I keep audio files and image files that I need regular access to on them to free space on the laptop. They've travelled everywhere with me - in my day-to-day bag, in suitcases on flights, dragged around Europe on flights and around the UK on trains. So far, they're bullet-proof. The USB power is a great advantage, the metal shell is tough, and well, they just work.

I would recommend buying some kind of case for them though, if only to have somewhere to keep the mini-USB cable with them.
