I ordered this USB Hard drive. I got it in the post a few days later.
Excellent!
Great quality product!
It works very easily and well. It came formatted as FAT32, but I easily formatted it to NTFS with Windows XP (it took about an hour to format).
Its powered off the USB cable. Silent - NO fans.

This hard disk is quiet (no fan), doesn't need a power supply as it is powered via USB and is very small. Data transfer is fast and problem free - quite simply this is an excellent portable HDD and well worth the money.

I bought one of these after I tried my partner's Freecom HDD on my laptop running W98SE. The HDD latched onto the driver already installed to run a flash drive and hey presto; it was literally plug and play. The unit I purchased was pre-formatted with the FAT 32 file system which works with both 98 and XP. Worth checking this out before you open it if you have W98 as the box tells you your computer requires W2000 or above to run the drive as well as a 900mhz processor (I have P3 700mhz and it runs just fine, if a bit slower on the USB 1.1 port than in the required USB 2). If the label says NTFS it WON'T work on 98 unless you re-format it with FAT 32. So read the small print carefully before you open the box. Unfortunately I didn't use Amazon and paid £80 on the High Street... but I do have a very neat and portable storage device.
