This book was the second of Michael Ridpath's stuff I've read. I previously read the Marketmaker which I've also reviewed, but this is also an excellent read... working out who was the master criminal behind the bad guy stuff kept me reading on and on... I was almost unable to put the book down! Excellent stuff... BUY THE BOOK!

I owned this book for a couple of weeks before finally reading it because it didn't look like my usual kind of book. Once I started it, I was addicted. I don't know anything about working in the city or banking but the author explains everything so well that you keep up with the story. Everytime I thought I had worked out who the bad guy was, there was a twist in the story and I started to suspect someone else. I read this book in almost one go it was that good!

This book really is a page-turner. I starts up a little slow, but you got caught after a couple of chapters and you stick to it. Ridpath manages to write a plot that keeps the suspense up to the last page. Every other chapter a new information is added that makes you think now you understood the story, but I allways changes - and in a logical way. Comparing to e.g. Grishams books this book is less foreseeable and kept me up all night
