About the Author
Molly Potter has taught for 11 years in middle schools as a class teacher and Science co-ordinator. She now works as a SRE (Sex and Relationships Education) Development Worker supporting primary schools in the development of their SRE programme and policy. She has produced a variety of PSHE related resources for use in primary classrooms. She thoroughly enjoys writing teacher materials and prides herself on being able to spice up any learning objective however boring it might appear at first!

I love this book - it's highly imaginative and amusing! I bought it because I loved the activities in Outside the Box by the same author and I think this one is even better. You get even more ideas for your money. They are split into activities for individuals (the biggest section), pairs and small groups and most just need a photocopier. The kids in my Year 5 class can't get enough of them. Example of activities include:
a noise scavenger hunt - bonkers! pencil olympics - where kids race on an obstacle course with their pencils designing a pet for a given owner - that looks similar designing a more useful body - swivelling head etc inspecting a school that monsters attend lots of drama ideas, challenges...etc...etc I would recommend this to anyone who likes their class to have fun!!!!!

This is a useful resource for any free time - including golden time and wet playtimes. It is a good substitute for the missing Folens books(these were really great but they don't seem to print them any more).
