Format:Paperback
This Caldecott Honor winner captivates young children with its entrancing illustrations of a boy's journey through a fantasy dreamland. Since there is no text, children (and adults) are free to make up the story to fit the illustrations in any way they see fit. Another wonderful wordless book by Wiesner is Tuesday.

This book was delivered promptly and came exactly as described. This is a great book for children of any age and is also a great teaching resource. Every teacher should have a copy of this book.

Simply brilliant! 9 Feb 2012
Format:Paperback
I bought this book for my nephew who was struggling with his reading. I was concerned that pushing him to read and making it a chore would 'demonise' books for him, making them seem like hard work rather than fun. So by having a story book with no words, there was no pressure on him to read. Books remained fun - not hard work, or a dreaded embarrassment.

The entire book is beautifully illustrated for the 'reader' to make up their own story. And every time can be a different adventure! The only limitation is the imagination of the child! It is such a simple idea, yet offers so much. Why there aren't more books like this for children, I simply don't understand. Any sort of learning should be fun so the pupil wants to keep coming back for more, and this book offers that for sure!

I have to say, he is now an excellent reader, who delights in showing off his skills to whoever will listen! This year I bought him his first 'grown-up' book (mostly words, hardly any pictures), and a word game. He loved both! So if your youngster is struggling with their reading, I can't recommend this highly enough, to take the pressure off and keep things fun!
