Although theres a lot of mediocre tracks on the Freddy VS Jason Soundtarck theres also a lot of amazing tracks which by far earn this album 5 stars if your into metal.
The album kicks off with the fairly decent Ill Nino track 'How can I live' which I'd think much higher of if it hadn't been played to death on Tv, still, it's definatley worth 4/5.
This is followed by Killswitch and 'When Darkness falls', it's not a bad track but it's not great either, however, this is only the beginning, what follows are 5 of the albums best, these kick off with SpineShank's brilliant 'Begining of the end' followed by the superb Mushroomhead, Hatebreed, Slipknot outings and the stunnung, breathtaking, aggression fuelled 'Army of me' by the new gods of thrash metal that are Chimaira, this track alone earns the album five stars.
The next lot of tracks are nothing special and include the dreadful murderdolls track 'Welcome to the strange', however, this soon changes when the album reaches Stone Sour, unfortunatley the Sepultura track here really isn't anything special, they could have come up with something much better than this, very mediocre. Now we come to track 18, In Flames 'Trigger'-I don't even know how to describe this song, let me just tell you this, after the first time I heard it I had chills, this is truly one of the greatest songs I have ever heard, the power, the emotion, everything is perfect, even if this was a whole album of murderdolls songs and this was on it I would still give it 5 stars, Trigger is perfection in music.
Overall, a good album with some truly amazing metal songs on it, definatley worth a buy, if not just for Chimaira and In Flames.

Format:Audio CD
this soundtrack is just mind blowing,as theres plenty of excellent metalcore and heavy metal bands on it,and thats why i bought it,as im into all kinds of death metal/deathcore bands myself, and i like horror soundtracks that have various music bands on them like resident evil 1-3,and this soundtrack is just excellent.

I got this album only being aware of the first track on the album, Ill Nino-How Can I Live. It was the track that played over the ending credits of the movie and I knew right there and then that I had to get this album.
I just didn't expect so many quality metal songs on one great soundtrack to one of the best movies of the year! You've got everything you could possibly need on here, previously unreleased mindblowing tracks by some of todays most important names in rock, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Killswitch Engage, Sevendust, etc. The list goes on!
If you're a fan of either Freddy Krugeur, Jason Voorhees, or just great rock music, get this album, you won't be disappointed!
