It's an average entry in the histories of these horror icons, comparable to half of their previous sequels, and Bride of Chucky director Ronny Yu satisfies purists with plenty of gushing blood and mayhem when Freddy recruits Jason to slice 'n' dice the ill-fated teens who've forgotten Freddy's once-formidable reign of terror. While it logically connects the gruesome legacies of Nightmare's Elm Street and Friday's Camp Crystal Lake, this horror hybrid is shockingly uninspired. It briefly peaks when Freddy gives the unconscious Jason a dream-world pummelling, but ultimately, their showdown's a letdown --Jeff Shannon
anyway this Freddy v Jason movie i was so looking forward to watching and when i did... well i still dont know what to say! im soooo disappointed! there could've been a better storyline for starters although some parts were quite good, i guess its obvious that no one would would win as such as they've both resurrected as many times as i can remember (just look at all the sequals!!) they've tried killing them both in everyway possible but still they come back for more! i thought freddy had gone for good in part 6 (the final nightmare) but then he came back in wes cravens new nightmare and then this movie, and i guess i really wanted freddy to win as he's my favourite, Freddy v Chucky would've been better or should i say funnier (yeah i know u want horror not wit but i like a bit of comdey in a horror movie hehe!) oh well we're bound to see freddy again soon, til then i'll still have the disappointment of this movie etched on my memory! over and out..
