I loved this book, very well written and really caught the way of life of a footballer in the 1920's.Fred Keenor himself was a real determined character and a very good player but the bit that caught my imagination was the passages referring to a prolific goalscorer from Scotland, who actually scored the only goal of the F.A. Cup of 1927 - Hugh Ferguson.Cardiff City bought him from Motherwell and he scored loads of goals for both teams,Cardiff then sold him ( because of a financial crisis) to,my team,Dundee F.C. which proved to be a tragic move for Hugh. The whole book kept me interested all the way through and has been the best football biography i've read. Can't praise this book high enough !Highly recommended !!
