There are three marvellous titles in this box set, Back Street Mechanic, Fred's Engines and Fred's Coal Mine. They are compiled from archive footage from his television series, and though you may have seen the footage from the television you never seem to tire from watching Fred and his pals at work. They show the genius that Fred was in reading up and picking the brains of engineers when renovating steam engines and having to make parts from scrap metal. I thoroughly enjoyed viewing the DVD's and though I rented them I am sure that I will purchase them in the near future to watch and enjoy again.

This is Fred at his best, mucking about in his backyard, doing all the things he loved the most. A lovely reminder of a real character, the likes of which we probably won't see again.

This is a very well put together dvd set,it is simply Fred at his best,it is sad that he is no longer with us,but his wit and humour will be with us forever,a very interesting dvd set.

We found this vbideo entertaining and very good, but would have been better had it not got scenes in of Fred's previous vodeos, apaert from that, it was enjoyable viewing.

This was a brilliant dvd. It was a detailed astory about the steeplejack who just loved a good yak. Great story and can be enjoyed by everybody - age no limits
