5.0 out of 5 stars Hip Hop/Funky Breaks Jam, 21 Jan 2007
Really uplifting album, combining genres of funky hip hop (We Do This, Keep Movin), funky breaks (Bring back the funk, She's out of my head) funky house (Funk Is), some electro-club efforts (Bass Phenomenon) plus some nice non vocal beats (Flamenco Freddy), not least to forget the immensely soothing 'Summer Samba', so all in all you're getting the full spectrum of KK's super skills. The perfect album to entertain your mates too, listen to in the car, rotate whilst getting ready for a night out blah blah. I rarely give albums 5 stars until they have stood the test of time but this album isn't one to aspire for years to come, it's about enjoying the moment now. I'm pretty sure I will look back on this album with good memories. Freakshow will uplift you so if that's the order of the day and you like your music funky then you know what to do.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointing release from Breakbeat legend, 20 Sep 2007
By S. Miles - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Hearing of a new K K studio mix was enough for any breakbeat fan to get excited, however Freakshow sadly dissapoints. Following on from earlier releases These are the Breaks (mix album) and Tricka Technology (collaberation with A Skills) was never going to be an easy task, but only a handful of tunes live up to previous standards set. It seems like the album was made for the massses; creating tunes which will be deemed 'radio friendly' or 'easily accessible' instead of lining an album full of his usual banging breaks. Brighton's main man doesn't maintain his high standard on this release, however contrary to my opinion he did win Best Album at the 2007 breakspoll awards for this release (funny considering the album contains few true breaks!!!).

There's not much more to add to this review that the one below already say's. I brought this album after seeing Krafty Kuts at Glade Festival 2007 as they made a great impression. This album does not disappoint. Puts in a great mood. Would recommend to anyone.
