Crowned master of energizing, mind blowing Hard House sets has a challenger to the throne!. Phil Reynolds delivers one after the next uplifting, epic tune, mixed in definetive and classic Nukleuz style. If you have ever been at Camden Palace at 4:30am when the Aussie hits the stage, all you need to do is put on this CD, close your eyes, and you are straight there again! This album belongs in any Hard House lovers collection. Period.

This is an absolutely stomping mix. Anyone into their hard house will love this. Although some of the tracks are pretty well known, the mixing is excellent and puts a whole new slant on the tracks you do know. I like my dance music hard and fast and relentless - I love Lisa Lashes - and this totally fits the bill.
Highly recomended.

Anyone who is familiar with Phil Reynolds the DJ and a fan of his style of relentless, uplifting hard dance and are looking to repeat the experience in the comfort of their own home will not be disappointed with Frantic Residents 01. The eponymous Aussie DJ delivers one hard trance anthem after another and although the track listing will be all too familiar to knowlegable fans this is by no means a bad thing. All this year's usual suspects are here including James Lawson, BK, Disco Brothers and DJ Kim. You'd be hard pushed to find a more definitive collection of the sound of 2002. Not for easy listening Mr Reynolds rocks it in style.

This disc has held up very well, and I enjoy trotting it out every so often.

The tunes are fairly familiar by now, but that's okay, because they're very, very good.

The opening is just about perfect. 'Final Frontier' starts unremarkably, but then breaks into a phrase that is full of tension that never quite releases, moving instead imperceptibly into 'Ready to Explode', which picks up the pace to full steam ahead, but somehow maintains a feeling of anticipation. It's one of the most powerful build ups I've heard.

'Energise' comes in and the main part of the set flows on with tunes that can't really be faulted, and then we're into the final straight: 'No Escape' - 'Ascension' - 'The Venue', it's a real sprint to the line and caps things off perfectly.

Still one of my favourites.
