Limited illustrations supported by a basic script. Useful if you have no knowledge of Hals. Book in good condition. Worth the money

Great value. 21 Aug. 2014

This is just a short book of plate of Hals work with about 20 close-up detailed pictures and another 20 or so full images. It is perfect for a painter to see the methods of Hals. There is little to no bio here, it's really about the paintings with a brief description of each followed by the plates. For the 95 cents I paid, I'm very satisfied. The Claus Grimm book at $200 is the best book I've seen on Hals as it has loads of super close-ups. These are necessary for an artist to examine Hals methods. This book will do but on a smaller scale.
