As a lover of food I like to cook my own versions of dishes that I love, I am also a creature of habit, once I find something I really like I usually stick to it, I also consider myself a bargain hunter, others may say a tight wad. All that being said I feel in love with Chilli's boneless hot wings, since their demise I have tried numerous times to replicate the taste with varying degrees of success, finally stumbling upon Frank's RedHot original in Sainsbury's, £1.49 for a measly 148ml bottle. This small bottle lasted merely days as once used on the hot wings I found a multitude of other uses, as a pizza dipping sauce, an accompaniment to Jackets and cheese and even salads. I couldn't justify the expense and thus investigated the purchase of larger quantities, I found that Amazon sells 3 x 330ml bottles for 9.99, great, I ordered and used with in about 5 weeks, better still I found the 3.78 litre bottle we see before us. Magic!!! the difficulty is in getting the sauce out of the bottle. I tip into a glass jug and decant in to one of the smaller bottles, this is perfect no spillage and very little waste plus the smaller bottles have a dispensing nozzle that issue the right amount.
As for the sauce, if you like it so hot you can't taste anything then this isn't for you, the taste is almost salty, it's gorgeous on anything cheesy and breaded, I would recommend trying the smaller bottle if you can find it and then order on subscription delivered every 4 months, that's my plan. Thank you Amazon.
