I have just bought this item. First impression is of slight disappointment because the type size is tiny, even though I have adjusted it to "large" This is not for someone with a sight problem, even if they wear spectacles, as I do.
As for the various functons, so far I think they are excellent.

Summary: A cryptic crossword fan's best friend!
Review: All the tools you need to help with those last couple of clues you just can't get. Easy to use (didn't read the instructions). Pleasantly surprised at how small it was when removed from the box (it looks large in the photo, but it's only about 4" by 3" and easily fits in your pocket). Less than half the price of its nearest competitor too!

For years I have done my cryptic crosswords with a dictionary and a dusty old Psion ( now sadly expired). I reluctantly bought this solver because I found using the computer to help me a bit cumbersome - cannot fit the blooming thing in my handbag.
Wow - it is like going from a Trabant to a Ferrari. It really has got everything (though bear in mind my trusty Psion had technology that was probably 15 years old). I am still working through the instructions but it has proved really comprehensive so far. The kids use it to help them with their english homework.
The one criticism I would have is that the display is too small. There are too many words crammed into the screen. This may have something to do with the fact that I am becoming long sighted and refuse to give in to the call for glasses.
I also agree with a previous comment that the keyboard is a tad small - people with big paws may find it a bit fiddly.

Too small
I have had this device (a gift) for a month now. I can't read the screen because the text is too small(and it doesn't light up). The keys are too small for my fingers. Read more

Was returned
Product is good but display screen to small. Bought as present for 60+ senior and they could not read the display as too small ...needs to be bigger for an older generation
