Fr Murray Bodo helps you feel what Francis of Assisi felt about his everyday experiences in 12th century Umbria. But he does more than that. Although the middle ages were wrought with their own sets of problems and dilemas Murray Bodo can make you feel that these experiences are in the here and now, they are timeless. If you want to have a good read about St. Francis of Assisi without the floweriness of the 'Fioretti' then this is the book for you. It will give you a hunger for more material on this saint who changed the world.

Murray Bodo enters into and portrays the spirit of 'il poverello' in a way that brings to life and causes to be real that which remains forever
ethereal. Essential reading for anyone on the road to redemption.
