An very handy map for long journeys across France. It's easy to see the major routes to take as the whole country is on one side of the map and it's not cluttered with too much information. It only loses a star as it should be less than £4.00 but it's still good value.

The paper is quite thin, so it's worth putting it in a plastic sleeve before you set off. But this route planner is great if you are planning to travel long distances in France, where road signs can occasionally throw you into a panic (ie having to follow signs to Lyon when trying to get southbound out of Chartres - you really need the BIG picture!). Carrying a proper road atlas with a lot more detail is essential, the route planner will not be enough on its own. But we used it in conjunction with our AA Big road atlas(which is fabulous) every day. The distances and estimated times between locations were useful too.
