Although we have the benefits of satelite navigation The Michelin National Map is still the best way of planning your route prior to travelling We much prefer this than relying soley on Sat Nav. Last year when we travelled through France the Sat Nav didnt sent us the correct way and we nearly missed the ferry. The Mitchelin route map is easy to read and understand

Very handy, easy to read map.Did 2,000 miles solo in July and this map didn't let me down.Folds easily into sections as needed. Very handy to see the whole of France from top to bottom for planning long trips. Complemented my atlas of Europe purchase. Easy to read.

Even in the days of SaNavs maps still have an invaluable role to play in route planning. The scale of this map means it contains sufficient information to perform this role exceptionally well. For local detail you need to go to a higher scale but that's another story.
