Biography

Far and away the longest lasting and the most successful of the '70s progressive rock groups, Yes proved to be one of the lingering success stories from that musical genre. The band, founded in 1968, overcame a generational shift in its audience and the departure of its most visible members at key points in its history to reach the end of the century as the definitive progressive rock ... 5.0 out of 5 stars Try 180 gram records! 5 Dec 2012
By B. Bernardini - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Vinyl|Verified Purchase
If you have gone back to records recently, try 180 gram records. they are much thicker than you r 120-140 gram records and play smooth! If you have a decent turntable and good equipment they will make the difference . if you have real average equipment, you really wont notice the difference and I would wait to pay 25- 40.00 an album to this wonderful new versions of sound!

although a bit pricey for a reissue, fragile is definitely well-worth the money. good pressing, no pops or clicks. great dynamics as well.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality control at Analogue Prod 17 Aug 2011
By Central PA Cigar Smoker - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Vinyl|Verified Purchase
Upon opening the sealed gatefold cover and removing the album I discovered a very dull looking vinyl, no shine at all, and what appears to be scuffs marks on both sides pretty much all over the record. I've encountered this before when buying new 180 gram re-issues, but usually this only happens when the vinyl is placed in paper or cardboard sleeves; however this was packed in a decent quality anti-scuff sleeve, yet still had way too many scuffs. I think due to poor handling at the factory. The worse thing is that I found what appears to be a defect in the pressing on Side 1, track 1; a bump, possibly a piece of vinyl mold somewhat stuck to the surface. I going to attempt to remove it using MFSL Super Deep Cleaner, then a run through my Spin Clean. I'll update at a later date and let everyone know the outcome. I've only found this album re-issued on 180 gram vinyl through Analogue Prod, so I have no other supplier to seek, such as Friday Records for example. ( they seem to have a great pressing system ). The Atlantic Label is not reproduced on the album; you'll find a silver label with digital printing of the track information, and album title. Even this was blurry in my opinion. This was my first Analogue Prod purchase. Not a great start. I hope that this was just a bad one, and does not represent the average of their product output.
