5.0 out of 5 stars This book is for the serious mathematician, not the layman, 11 Sep 1998

This review is from: Fractals Everywhere (Hardcover)
This is a truly excellent textbook on the subject of fractals, complete with some runnable programs and comprehensive explanation of the principles of generating fractals. However, the proofs and examples are meaty, and it takes a long time to wade through the detail. But it is worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book, 11 Dec 2010

This review is from: Fractals Everywhere (Hardcover)
It's great that the introduction is very formal. Fractals are described from the ground up starting with an introduction on measure theory and topology. My only beef is the exercises. It would've helped to have more examples in solving exercise problems. Even a separate student manual with full solutions would've been great.

If anyone wants to know about fractals, I recommend him to read this book. It will give him a clear idea about the underlying concept of creating fractals.
