This product is like magic! For all those of you who own dogs with black claws this is a 'must' in your doggie first aid kit. If you should accidentally clip a claw too close to the quick and it bleeds - this powder will stem the blood flow immediately, so you won't need to wrap your dog's claw in kitchen roll and stand for ages waiting for it to stop bleeding.

I have been using Quick Blood Stopper for years and it is still the best. My Vet is the one that recommended it to me over ten years ago and I have not found anything that works as quick to stop the bleeding.

Needs an airtight container

This stuff is great at what it does, but the little bottle it comes in is not sufficient packaging. In a matter of a couple months, even with the lid on, it dries out into a rock hard mass that can't be broken up and is basically useless. If I buy more of it, I am going to be sure to keep the bottle inside an airtight ziploc bag or something.
