More About the Author

I was born in 1929. I started work at 13 during the war as a joiner/undertakers apprentice, moving on to take up employment as a painter/decorator two years later until at the age of 21 I was called up for National Service. On completing National Service in 1952 I returned to decorating, became unsettled and reengaged in the Royal Artillery in which I served in most if not all the theatres open to Her Majesty Forces, rising to the rank of warrant officer of signals in a missile regiment, during which time I was a lecturer at the Royal School of Artillery for 3 years. Leaving the forces after over 23 years, I returned to decorating and with my experience abroad became the overseas foreman for an international decorating company working on palaces, hotels and millionaires villas in Morocco, Abu Dhabi, Paris and the south of France, as well as Sandringham House. These experiences have inspired me in my writings.
My books include the popular Brothers and Rendezvous trilogies, and many other war novels - the latest of which are Reluctant Hero, Infiltration: Operation Sweepstake - and PT Boat Flotilla N25A - which is set in the Pacific like his biggest selling books Pacific Patrol and Pacific Patrol 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant naval fiction 20 Mar. 2014

I loved this, a brilliant and well told story of young men in fast boats surviving the dangers that all seamen face in time of war, just the right amount of romance. Looking forward to more of the same from R H Andrews

2.0 out of 5 stars comic book stuff 11 Jun. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
More like the comic book stuff I read as a kid than a serious war novel ,little detail about the boats and armaments , too much about the goody two shoes

The Story was quite good but the style of writing was that of a you, ill educated schoolboy. It was grammatically very poorly assembled and the spelling had not been checked.
