I wasn't sure whether to try another brand as this would be my third Fossil watch, but after seeing this extremely attractive watch, why would I bother. It looks pretty luxurious, and has the great quality Fossil is known for, but doesn't go over the top on price. The box was their "vintage" box, which is nothing special, but maintains their cool branding.
Size: The size is a decent, manly size without going over the top like some other brands, though it does protrude upwards more than my previous Fossil watches as it's a bit thick (this perhaps adds to the "manly factor" and is not more than other, similar watches from other brands).
Strap: The strap is quite comfortable, but I found it a tad shorter than expected and I don't have a huge wrist, which means some people might be wearing it on the last couple of holes. On hot days, the top can be sweatier than other straps, but not as much as those full cuff straps.
Readability and use: The face and hands look great, but could have used with a bit more contrast as it forces one to focus longer on them to differentiate the two under certain circumstances, especially at a glance. It's much easier in the dark though as they glow quite brightly. The chronograph is a nice extra and looks cool within the design, but it's a bit small and difficult to read. It can probably help you in the pinch, but it's not the best implementation if you're looking for that as an important feature.
In conclusion, you can never go wrong with a Fossil watch (this being my third), especially with their fantastic quality and fair prices, and this one is an attractive, luxurious looking, casual watch that is quite comfortable to wear though a bit difficult to read at a glance.
Pros: Fossil quality. Luxurious and attractive design. Manly size and feel. Bright nighttime luminescence. Price.
Cons: Poor daytime readability, especially at a glance. Strap length.
Conclusion: Great quality accompanied by fantastic, manly looks, at a great price, if you don't mind the readability issue.
