I thought about giving this 5 stars just to offset the ones that have reviewed the Amazon service rather than the product but I'll stick to how reviews should work - by reviewing the product.
To the point now and after some initial disappointment when I realised the loyalty pack was only for the Xbox One version and that I couldn't import my Horizon 1 paint jobs (shame!) there is still a lot of fun to be had with this game. Just like the first one, you start off with a single car and enter events around the map, discovering discount boards, uncovering barn finds and purchasing and upgrading your cars along the way.
The variable difficulty system is still in place so you can maximise your winnings (I recommend getting used to manual gears) making progress much faster and you'll soon have plenty of cars to choose from in your garage.
Visually, I think we've all been watching the Xbox One version in the lead up to release so don't expect anywhere near the same level of detail on the 360 and you'll be ok. Compared with Horizon 1 however I have to say I'm very happy with what's on offer with this version. The strength of the game lies in the racing itself and just like its predecessor, the roads where the racing takes place are well thought out with plenty of variety making for some tense battles for first place. You are not penned in by crash barrier this time either so taking a short cut is an option but it's also very easy to miss a checkpoint, adding to the tension.
There is an interesting 'perk' system this time. When you fill up your skill bar - which you do by performing various stunts such as drifting, close passing etc.- you'll get a point which you put towards helpful gameplay elements like getting a discount on new cars or extra xp from races.

Complete step down from Horizon 1 which was incredible. Not just because it doesn't have the next gen graphics and gameplay, but its just buggy and strangely feels lonely. The online of the first one was so much more seemless and easy to access, whereas this one takes you completely out of the game and into a different mode which in my opinion is awful, especially with the fact there is no public free roam. I am a massive Forza fan and still played the whole game, mainly due to it having yet again an incredible soundtrack that does put you right there at the festival. There is a decent amount of cars even though no dlc will be released on this version, and the car customisation is once again endless, which is the games strongest attribute. A little disappointed by not much effort put into this version but still worth a bit of time if you're a Forza fan who like me can't afford an Xbox One yet. If you haven't played the first one then ignore this one and god help you buy it immediately.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the first one! 18 Jan. 2015

Loved it, don't understand why so much hate. Obviously it does not make sense to compare it to the Xbox One version, it is a different hardware! If you compare it to the first Forza Horizon, though, i can say it is even better (and I loved the first one). It is just more of the same, yeah, but it is a lot more and very entertaining. To complete it at 100% it took me 36 hours, exactly two times with respect to the first one. Great locations (Europe: Italy and France) and soundtrack. Highly reccomended if you enjoyed the first one and you don't have and are not going to buy a Xbox One.

Bought this as the first one was amazing.. I think I was a little let down with this one.. Something doesn't quite have the same feel to the game as the first and maybe it was because it was brought out on the Xbox One and then down graded to the 360 but just doesn't flow or feel as good as it could do on the 360..
Still it's a great game.. Same old with some of the cars and add ons which is a real shame but maybe buy them when they are on offer as there's no way I'd be paying as much as the game again to play with a few extra cars or tracks or missions..

Forza Horizon was my idea of a brilliant game. Open world driving at it's best with a great soundtrack, and half-decent driving physics - more than can be said for most open-world driving games.

So surely, after a fair bit of development, Horizon 2 should have been better? Sadly, not the case, which meant I came away thinking that £30 was a bit of a rip-off.

1.) Soundtrack. In Horizon, Bass Arena was my station of choice and the amount of music was great - you'd have to play for a good while to hear it repeat a song. This game 'has' more stations and more songs, resulting in fewer songs per station. Yeah, that's the case for the Xbox One version, but the 360 gets the three stations from Horizon, and as a result far fewer songs. I played for about three hours on my first stint, and heard 'NRG' by Duck Sauce more times than I care to mention. Also, the voiceovers both in Cutscenes for Barn-Finds and on the Radio say the same thing over, and over, and over again. And the voices are really, really annoying.

2.) World. Realism has always been a pretty big thing in any Forza game, and when they made Horizon they did the right thing by inventing a fictional area and setting the game there. So why have they not done that with this one? If you're going to put real places in a game map, at least try and make them look realistic. Last time I checked, Nice is a generously sized urban city. Not a small and winding coastal fishing town.

3.) DLC. This was a problem with FH1 as much as it is with this one. The game cost £30 and I got a few hundred cars included with that, pretty much all of them with full cockpit views. So why do I then have to spend £4 for five cars - £0.80 per car?
