5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic 20 Mar. 2014

This book is an absolutely essential read if you want to learn about cartomancy. For such a small book it covers a surprisingly diverse amount of methods for classic styles of reading. The book is currently in the public domain, so there are actually quite a few free versions online. My personal copy is the Forgotten Books edition, the text is very clear and readable, and there's only one or two small errors that happened in the printing, but nothing that makes it unreadable (and can easily be double checked with any of the free online versions).
3.0 out of 5 stars Very introductory 26 Sept. 2012

I read this book in a parking lot waiting for my son to get out of college. It is a decent introductory book to using playing cards for divination but if you're looking for a "hold my hand and guide me every step of the way" style book in this you're not going to get it. It gives a brief overview of the system and then the majority of the book is "If you are doing a 7 card spread then..." and it gives an example spread and reading. Good for those who learn by example, I suppose.
