Amaretti is the Italian name for macaroons, which means little bitter things. Crisp and crunchy on the outside and soft inside, these small domed shaped cookies originated in Venice Italy during the renaissance period. Amaretti cookies are made from either ground almonds or almond paste, along with sugar and egg whites and can be flavoured with chocolate or liqueurs.
Traditionally served with a sweet dessert wine or liqueur but they are also wonderful with a bowl of ice cream or with your favourite cup of coffee. Another favourite way to use these cookies is to finely ground them and then add them to desserts for added texture and flavour. 500 gram.

When friends pop in, they are perfect to serve with coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
The bags come with a tie which keeps them as fresh as the day you open them. (Not suitable for small children or those with nut allergies).
They are also very versatile.
Try using them for a quick a dessert: Three scoops of Ice Cream (I use Cornish), drizzled with melted chocolate, crumble three amaretti's on top. Adults and children will love them. Enjoy !
They are absolutely delicious, and of the same quality you would find in a good delicatessen.
I can't recommend these enough. If you need amaretti biscuits, definitely buy these. Happy munching!

Excellent value. My husband eats them and says they are not as sweet as some he's had, but he actually prefers them.Published 11 months ago by Happy Edith
My local shop used to sell these but since they stopped I thought I would not be able to get these again, so was thrilled when I got them on here. Absolutely delicious.Published 13 months ago by Buddylove
Not really the best 'biscotti' you could buy. I think it's a lot for the money but I reckon most of it will be wasted unless you're having a coffee morning blowout! Read morePublished 14 months ago by A. Sharma
