I first heard this song last Spring when JJ72 were live on Radio 1. You could hear Mark putting his all into it, the chorus really is something special. I was also lucky enough to see it live a couple of weeks later, one of the finest live perfomances I've ever seen. The simple, quieter, verses and explosive chorus, especially the riff at the end, have been done before, but not in my opinion with such class and emotion. Mark himself has said the song "does it for him every time".
This single version is somewhat different, it maybe lacks the immediacy of that early version. It has fancier production (as you'd expect!), and a new second verse to boot. As is often the case with JJ72, it's not quite as good on record as the incredibly emotive live version but it's still one of their finest moments. If you're a fan you'd be mad to miss out quite frankly, and even if you're not it's probably worth a look?
