this book covers the F1 series from its inception in the 50's to the present day. It gives a detailed and entertaining read on all the eras of F1 to the present day, the tracks, drivers and rivalries and the cars. Many great photos also. a nice buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific publication of Vintage and Current Racing History 15 Nov 2012
By Gary Pavlenkov - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
When reading the first few pages of this publication, the reader is taken on a wonderful journey into the past and it's birthplace into racing ideas and engineering approaches that even apply to todays world of carbon composit structures and new challenges in order to get pole position. Even the photos, which many are of a off beat nature or austere one might say, make the reader feel that they could have taken that photo themselves. The written information is quick, to the point, and understandable to a lay person to racing. The book also has some great "I forgot all about that" or "I didn't know that" parts that make this a fun journey into ones Racing Heart. If you love the noise, the smell, the speed, the culture, of racing, you need to get outa the pits and read this one for sure.
