... an absolutely fascinating Christmas gift...
Pat Franklin, Sub-Editor.

It's not often that a really good book comes our way, but Gascoigne’s Forgotten History is certainly one of them.

This fascinating book is an 'absolute must' for any Westerner who wishes to know more about their own early history, clearly revealing where we came from. This book will also make a great present.
I can not commend this truly amazing work too highly.

Working on the principle that all histories are based on a common truth, Mike Gascoigne has created an important piece of work. Cross referencing fragments and accounts from works of Antiquity, Ancient and Medieval sources, the Bible and historical documents such as the Doomsday Book, Mike has, as he put it, looked for 'the shadow of the story' and pieced together our descent from Adam, through Noah, to the kings of Troy and the earliest inhabitants of the British Isle.

Particularly interesting for me was the chapter 'Jesus and Joseph of Arimathea in Britain'. Here, Mike considers the tradition perpetuated among the tin miners of Cornwall that Jesus, when a young boy, came to Britain with his great uncle, Joseph of Arimathea and established the first church at Glastonbury. It is widely accepted that Cornwall was a main source of tin for the Phoenicians at the time and it was well known throughout the ancient world.

If like me you are seeking to establish where you 'really' came from, or if Jesus actually walked upon England's mountains green, this book is a revelation.
