Reclaim the freedom to live your life, not limited through the filter of your painful experiences, but through a present moment you without the hurt and baggage. Di Riseborough's, "Forgiveness: How to Let Go When It Still Hurts," shows you how to do just that, step-by-step. And even better, it is not theory but practice for her as she walks the talk she shares. That carries clout with me. She's done it and, in these pages, she shares how.
There are many levels of challenges with forgiveness and equally as many misconceptions. Di breaks them down one-by-one then offers simple action steps with the compassion that only one who has risen through it can offer. I especially appreciate her chapters on the topic of self-forgiveness - as well as the important distinction she makes between forgiveness versus forgiveness with reconciliation.
The audio book is especially enjoyable with Di's relaxed and easy to follow presentation of the material and soothing voice. When I find myself stuck in rush hour this is the book that keeps me `forgiving' those less than courteous drivers!
If you are struggling and think you just might be ready to LIVE with some breathing space, "Forgiveness" is a good investment!
