5.0 out of 5 stars Find detachment, peace, love through forgiveness. 13 May 2014
By Good Juju Goddess - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Through Di's incredible personal story she is able to show us the path of forgiveness and, most importantly, to distinguish the difference between forgiving and condoning. If you are someone who struggles with letting go and who desires more detachment, peace and, ultimately, love, in your life, then Di's book is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Forgive to LIVE. Period. 10 Aug. 2014
By Bernadette Smith - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Reclaim the freedom to live your life, not limited through the filter of your painful experiences, but through a present moment you without the hurt and baggage. Di Riseborough's, "Forgiveness: How to Let Go When It Still Hurts," shows you how to do just that, step-by-step. And even better, it is not theory but practice for her as she walks the talk she shares. That carries clout with me. She's done it and, in these pages, she shares how.

There are many levels of challenges with forgiveness and equally as many misconceptions. Di breaks them down one-by-one then offers simple action steps with the compassion that only one who has risen through it can offer. I especially appreciate her chapters on the topic of self-forgiveness - as well as the important distinction she makes between forgiveness versus forgiveness with reconciliation.

The audio book is especially enjoyable with Di's relaxed and easy to follow presentation of the material and soothing voice. When I find myself stuck in rush hour this is the book that keeps me `forgiving' those less than courteous drivers!

If you are struggling and think you just might be ready to LIVE with some breathing space, "Forgiveness" is a good investment!

5.0 out of 5 stars A ROADMAP TO INNER PEACE 15 May 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Empowerment is the right word to fully describe Di Riseborough’s “Forgiveness.”
Powerfully written, her book explores fundamental spiritual truths, while at the same time providing a ‘how to’ guide on letting go of one’s past and living fully in the present. The author’s own story is both heart wrenching and courageous, as she delves into her own experience and comes out enlightened on the other side.

This is the perfect book for those struggling with resentment and shame. Di doesn’t offer quick fixes; she offers a roadmap to compassion and inner peace. One of her major premises is helping the reader work through the different stages of forgiveness and releasing victimhood. Her work is rooted in courage and compassion, a theme that is recurrent with the turn of each chapter. The emphasis on healing becomes the catalyst for change as the reader is taken on a journey of mind and body redemption.

5.0 out of 5 stars Di Riseborough knows her stuff! 29 May 2014
By Sue Fitzmaurice - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Di Riseborough is the real deal, and so is this her first book. Di has truly done her own work and thus can share and guide us on this journey with great authenticity.

We are saturated with internet memes telling us to forgive, let go, and love ourselves; all about as useful as telling a teenager to be themself - what teenager knows how to do this?! We need guidance and Di offers a useful and effective systematic process to help us move through an important process that we have at least come to recognise as something we must do for our own emotional wellbeing and happiness.
