Oasis are a great band. However they do not need Mr Hewitt falling over himself by lauding the band to unparalleled heights. When he isnt sucking up to the Gallaghers, the descriptions of life on the tour with a major band is actually a good read...

this book by Hewitt is the tales of the Gallagher brothers and the control of the world they had during their successful taking of the people during there release of morning glory and the follow up, be here now...
the tour of 6 months around the year and the way the band stuck through it all even though being under threat by ever media organisation in the world.
get it, read it, induce it.

...The complex Gallagher brothers could make for an excellent books if the writer was at all bothered about entertaining and informing his readers rather than crawling to his heroes. There is the odd nice anecdote but this is not a book - it's a brochure for the band.

I've spent hard-earned bread on a few of PH's scribblings before, mainly due to the subject matter and have to say this book above all of his work deserves the most scorn.

The title is gawd awful, the cover photo is a less than flattering shot of Noely G in his 'Fat Elvis' period and the contents inside are the predictable sychophantic waffle, which PH liberally sprinkles on the majority of his work.

All in all, I read this through gritted teeth, wishing, nay praying that PH would stop referring to Noel as ''The Chief'' and would offer some kind of refund to anyone who bought this book.....please keep in mind that I actually got this for half price at a discount book store.
