I found this book so sad. I realised when I was only a couple of chapters in that, because I knew that Norton would pass to cat heaven in his book, it coloured the rest of it for me and though there were plenty of good stories I was waiting for the inevitable. When Norton finally became ill the book went from sad to heart-rending as Peter struggled to cope then, through sheer love of this tiny animal, overcame his neuroses to provide the best care possible for his little pal. I think I went through most of a box of tissues and, on finishing the book, have placed it on the pile of books for the charity store as I just don't think I can read it again - my tear ducts can't cope! It's both heart-warming and heart-rending at the same time and, although very sad, it's a reminder of how the love of any creature whether cat or human can transform a life.

If you are a cat lover this is a lovely book to read. Norton sounds a true delight and has got Peter Gethers wrapped round his little paws. Loved it!

I am really enjoying this book as much as the others by Peter Gethers. It's a good light hearted read, although I do think this one may end on a sad note when Norton dies.

I haven't got round to reading this book just yet but if the first two are anything to go by, it will be a great read. As cat lovers know too well, all feline's have their own characters and Norton definately has his and it comes across in all the Norton books.
