Editorial Reviews:

A Night Owl Teen Review 5 Star "Top Pick" ~ "I can't even begin to express how much I loved this book. I read the whole thing in less than one day. In fact, it was nearly five o’clock in the morning when I finished, it was that good."

In Between Writing and Reading Blogspot ~ Oh My God I LOVED this book!!! It was amazing!!

Reading Eating and Dreaming ~ It’s great and I highly recommend it for older teens. I have a feeling the Moreno Brother’s series is going to be a sexy series full of drama and romance. I can’t wait to read them all!

YA Indie Princess Reviews ~ WOW Elizabeth Reyes has blown my mind with Forever Mine. Fans of Sarah Dessen & Simone Elkeles will eat up Forever Mine like the total book candy it is.

Sizzling Reads YA blog ~ This book was amazing! I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. From the very first chapter I was as much in love with Sarah and Angel as they were in love with each other.

C.C. Jackson Reviews ~ Forever Mine was heated and exciting. I literally could not got to sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about this book. The best part, No werewolves or vampires anywhere! Finally an awesome book about real people with real circumstances.

***************************************************************************************************

Seventeen-year old Sarah’s life is turned upside down when her single mom is sent to jail. She’s forced to move, leaving behind everything she’s ever known, including her best friend Sydney. Lost and bitter in a new school, her one goal is to save money and move back home. Then she meets Angel Moreno.

Enigmatic but gorgeous, Angel is almost too good to be true. Except for one thing, his archaic belief that guys and girls can never be “just friends”. The problem? Sarah’s best friend Sydney is not a girl.

With their unexpected romance intensifying to places neither ever experienced, how long can Sarah keep Angel in the dark about the guy waiting for her back home?

More About the Author

Writing is my passion. It hasn't always been. I began writing in high school mostly just for fun. I never once took it seriously or had aspirations of becoming a published writer.

I began writing Forever Mine in the 10th grade. I'd forgotten all about it until many MANY years later after moving into a new home, I began to unpack a box that had been sitting in my old houses garage closet. After unpacking old year books and school photos I'd long ago thought were lost forever. I came across an envelope with about seven chapters worth of Forever Mine. I became engrossed in the romance I'd forgotten all about. When I got to the last page I'd written I was so dissapointed because I REALLY wanted to know what happend next.

I decided to finish it. It has been one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. I felt like I was living their story and enjoyed every minute. When I was finally done I cried. I missed my characters so much I decided there would be more. After much tweaking and editing I wanted the world to read Forever Mine, so I self published. Now I'm hooked on writing.

The experience continues as I work on Always Been Mine the second in the series of The Moreno Brothers. I'm on a roller coaster again and loving every minute. I hope to have it out by early 2011, then I can get started on the the 3rd which the title has yet to come to me. I will, and when it does. I will update my bio. =)

1.0 out of 5 stars Disturbing 9 Jan. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I found this book immensely disturbing on so many levels. I can understand that the strong and commanding male stereotype can be attractive, but there are too many times in this book where Angel Moreno's actions step way over the line into domestic abuse. He's insanely jealous and controlling, he isolates her from her friends, he flips out with rage every time she so much as opens her mouth to speak to another guy and then breaks up her friendship with her best friend. I'm sorry, but to me that's not attractive or particularly comfortable to read about.

I did like Sofia's character but the rest of them left me cold.

3.0 out of 5 stars YA story 15 Sept. 2012
By In My Honest Opinion TOP 100 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I like Elizabeth Reyes as an author and can recommend Noah and Gio which are aimed more at a mature adult. After reading those I did choose to read some of The Moreno Brothers books which were OK, but I had trouble with one (Romero).

I saw this book was now being offered as a freebie so downloaded it. It's too YA for me and the speed at which the couple fall for each other (within their first meeting) is a bit much and the misunderstanding they have that leads to trouble between them just seemed a bit too silly for my liking.

I'm sure YA's will enjoy it and it is quite suitable as although they enter into a sexual relationship, there are no sex scenes to cause offence.

I did feel Angel was another typical jealous/possessive Moreno Brother, but he was tame compared to Romero!

4.0 out of 5 stars Proof-read? 3 Dec. 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
First off, the plot of this book is good, the characters easy to identify with and I would recommend it - on the one condition that you are not, like me, put off by an apparent lack of proof-reading before publishing.

The layout of the book is odd, to say the least, with random indentation and blank lines, as well as the odd completely blank page that had me flicking back and forth on my kindle, wondering if I had missed something. Worse than that though was the appalling punctuation - with blatant misuse of apostrophes (something that I'm afraid I can't help seeing, and distracts me becasue it drags me out of the story). There are also numerous occasions when a full stop breaks up what should be a longer sentence, making it read in a very jerky way.

I know this is nit-picking, and believe me, if it had been the odd mistake I might have been able to ignore it, but it continues throughout the book, and unfortunately spoiled my enjoyment somewhat. But hey, that's just me.

The story itself, as I mentioned before, is good. The idea of a girl with a friend who is a boy and neither of them are interested in each other in "that" way, is quite rare in romantic fiction; and as someone who has just such a friend, it's always interesting watching a potential boyfriend's reaction to the existing relationship. I liked the fact that there was no hint that Sarah or Sydney ever wanted anything more out of the friendship.

A number of the secondary characters (who get their own stories later in the series) are interesting and punctuation errors not withstanding, I will be reading the rest of the books in the series to find out what happens with them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good believable story! 24 Mar. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed this story! Loved Angel and Sarah, he came over very possessive, your typical alpha male, even for his short years!

He fell and fell hard for Sarah, how sweet was he when he came to her rescue! and how very quickly their romance blossomed!

I thought Valerie was a bit flaky, not really getting what she was about! although she got better as Sarah and Angel's story unfolded!

Sarah was hiding a couple secrets from everyone with regards to her mother and her best friend Sydney, only Valerie knew HIS real identity! Things always get out of hand the longer you keep the truth out of things!

Angel was your typical school heartthrob, all the girls wanted a piece of him, and had in the past given him what ever he wanted! He had a long term, no commitment girl, who was very threatened when Sarah came onto the scene! Sarah didn't take to kindly to Dana sticking her nose into their business even pulling the football jersey stunt at a football match!

I loved Eric and Romero, I thought the boys all got on really well, and even after Sarah came into the fold their friendship worked really well! believable.

Oh how tough was it when Angel realized who Sydney was, that was such an avoidable situation, unfortunately made very unavoidable! And how quick were everyone to judge her! and tell tales! Although both very heart broken they both decided to deal with the situation in their own ways! even though they were both shedding tears left and right!

Its going to be good getting to know the subsidiary characters in this series, and cant wait to continue with Angel and Sarah in Forever Mine! Sofie and Eric appear so cute, but she comes from a family where here big brothers wont let her breathe! and that definitely equals trouble !

5.0 out of 5 stars Didn't expect to love it as much as i did. 26 Jan. 2013

Seventeen-year old Sarah's life is turned upside down when her single mom is sent to jail. She's forced to move, leaving behind everything she's ever known, including her best friend Sydney. Lost and bitter in a new school, her one goal is to save money and move back home. Then she meets Angel Moreno.
Angel doesn't believe in the ' girl and boy best friend' thing. He is always overprotective, so what will happen when he finds out the truth about Sarah's best friend Sydney, that Sydney is not a girl but a boy, and that he's waiting for Sarah to come back home?

First things first. I didn't know much about this book, because i saw it on Amazon, and it was FREE on the kindle, and then i saw the cover and the title and i was like " Sold!". When i'v read the very first page i was immediately HOOKED. Couldn't stop reading it since then. To be honest, i wasn't expecting to like this book so much, but man, did it surprise me. It's been ages since i felt like a book really deserves 5 stars. Forever Mine is that kind of book.

*****
'When he said goodbye he pulled her aside, but still in plain view of everyone he gave her another mind blowing kiss.'
*****

I fell in love with the characters very quickly. They were very realistic and well developed. I think they could be more described, but oh well.
The main protagonist ( Sarah) was sweet, innocent, and so strong yet quite naive. But even though she was a little bit naive, i really liked her.
Angel was so intense, very possessive, and overprotective, but he was romantic and caring at the same time. I have to say, i fell for this dude. Wish he could be real and all mine 'sight'.
