My review is based on the quality of the blu rays which I received today. They were for my birthday so the price was not so relevant to me however £26 for 4 movies sounds reasonable to me. Anyway, the picture quality is beautiful, colours so rich and clear, I love them and of course the movies themselves are top notch stuff, they just dont make them like this no more!...if you are in doubt as to whether to buy, my advice is go for it they are truly gorgeous and so well presented, well done on the HD upgrade here!

Like a lot of people, Marilyn Monroe is one of THE iconic actress of the 20th Century and having her films available for a new generation, keeps this beautiful actress in our fond memories forever and the new generation of film fans coming on the scene, will get to appreciate what a wonderful actress Marilyn Monroe was, as camera loved Marilyn and it shows up so perfectly when we view her films, despite all the problems Directors had with her.
As to this brilliant Blu-ray Box Set, here you have 4 of her most iconic and popular films. The quality of the Region Free Blu-ray DVD's are just totally awesome and when young film fans view these particular Blu-ray discs, they will think these films were made in the 21st Century. The one film that made me gasp with disbelief was Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, the colours in this film are jaw droppingly awesome and definely one to demonstrate to friends who may not of seen this film before. I have shown friends this Blu-ray disc and they were also totally awe struck by its totally stunning image and rock solid colours and could not believe this film was made when film was only available.
Finally, I hope the Company who produced this stunning 4 x Blu-ray Box Set, will now start to bring out the rest of the other Marilyn Monroe films as Region Free, as I don't want to have to get the Region A Blu-ray's.

This set, with identical artwork, is also being released in the US at the end of July. Except their edition contains SEVEN films (The Misfits, There's no Business Like Show Business and River of No Return are the titles we're not getting). WHY? (and there's a fine irony in that Amazon.com is already full of aggrieved postings concerning the lack of so many other Monroe titles, particularly Niagara and Bus Stop, as well as documentary extras, of which we're getting nothing at all. They don't know how lucky they are...)

Three of the four films in this collection were immaculate transfers.Unfortunately Marilyn,s most well known film Some like it hot suffered from white specks throughout spoiling the viewing experience which is disappointing considering what a good job was done remastering the other three films.
