Format:Audio CD
I was driving into the country the other day listening to a classical station because we couldn't really get another reception - when all of a sudden a Demis Rousos song came on the radio.
All of a sudden the memories came flooding back of my parents great dinner parties that they used to have when I was a kid growing up in Singapore and Australia. The feeling of long summers and dinner party nights came flooding into my head - leaving a feeling of nostalgia floating around with me for hours after that.
What makes this music special, is that you don't need to have the childhood memories that I had to make this music perfect for entertaining or for just sitting and unwinding with your favourite drink and chilling out at the end of the day. Demis has one romantic sun of a gun voice - and I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for great music.

Demis roussos is from my country a well known and respected international singer. He has maby hits in his palmare beginning with "rain and tears" with the group he was then before he started his solo carreer and this album we speak IS THE GREATEST SOLO ALBUM demis ever made. This is like a greatest hits album. All tracks here are PERFECT and most of them are presented in demi's other greatest hits albums. Where to start ? From "lost in a dream" and "forever and ever" ?
Or to go to the greek kind of..."Lonely sunny days" and "Rebeka" ?
All songs are fabulus. Even if u own a gr. hits album GET this album and u will have everything u must have from DEMIS ROUSSOS.

Not the original recording - beware

This is a nice collection for Demis Roussos if you didn't listen to the original recording before and don't have memories with each song and how it exactly sounded with his dreamy voice over 30 years ago. His voice in this mostly re-recorded collection is a bit rusty and the music is poorly conducted compared to the original recording. I gave it two stars as it contains also some of his newer (80s) nice songs in it's original format such as "Summer Wine".
