Josiah heads to Europe alone to train with Goshi, the Blue Gnome. While there he meets someone who almost makes him forget what he is there to do. Once he gets his head back on straight he finds Goshi and gets to work learning all that he can. When Goshi sends him home it is with a warning that Goshi will eventually go to him with a final test.

When Josiah gets home to Lena, Tommy and the others he has a few surprises to deal with. It seems that everyone has something that they now need to work through. When Josiah's final test does come, he gets a huge shock and does not know what to think about the situation. Lena also will have a test of sorts as she will have a choice to make.

I absolutely LOVED this book, but it is an H.T. book so I already go into the book knowing it will be great! Another reviewer said that Goshi kind of reminds them of Yoda and I agree. It does kind of have that feel to it. I think this book, the whole series in fact, is a MUST read. As it is with all H.T. books once I started reading this I could not put it down because I just had to know what was going to happen. I feel like I'm sucked into another world and I just don't want to leave. I definitely recommend reading but you do want to start with book one as things will be less confusing. I don't feel this an be read as a stand alone book as you will be lost if you don't start at the beginning.

I love this series of books, Josiah is a great hero. I did think this book had less action than the previous ones and was 'less exciting' than the previous two but that's just my personal opinion. It was more about building the story up for the next instalment but I still really enjoyed it and I am at this moment over halfway reading book no 4 and its a corker! :-)
All the characters are great and if you love the Twilight series then you'll love this, only this is badder and rougher :-)

Love this style of writing its refreshing from the male point of view the banter between the characters is funny and the storey is much more fast pace action packed than the last books. What a cliff hanger at the end though!

is it meant to read like a voiceover kung-fu movie? Felt a little overwritten in places, but it's a good story and easy to read. Good characters, would probably make an interesting 'teen/chick-flick/comedy' movie.

Another wonderful book. Kept me reading to know what happened next and didn't take me long to read as I was lost in the book.
