5.0 out of 5 stars A great "how to" book on buying foreclosed homes 12 Nov. 2012

I pick up this book to get educated on the ins and outs of buying foreclosed properties. I've got say, there is a lot you need to know than I thought. I was impressed with how much information is here and even more relieved to see that David Petar has laid it out to where I could follow along and understand the process.

After reading this book, I would never dream of going out and buying property without doing the steps that David recommends. There are a lot of pit falls and I now know what to look for. This book will make quick work of finding and buying a great deal on a foreclosed house. I am very pleased that I found this book. I already feel successful in just knowing what to do now.

If you are looking for a great book at a great price that you arm you with the knowledge you need to tackle the art of buying foreclosed homes, then this is the book for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid advice 11 May 2013

The housing market is glutted with foreclosed homes and has been for around four years now. The deeply discounted prices on so many of these properties allows a lot of people to purchase a lot more home than they ever thought possible, but the pitfalls are many and there's a lot to learn if you want to do it right.... and not see your newly purchased foreclosure being foreclosed on again in the near future. I found a lot of excellent advice in this guide, particularly on the risks involved and price negotiations. I would suggest anyone interested in this pay particular attention to the section on Decide Your Budget as well. Overall this guide will be very handy for me as we have been eyeballing a couple of modest homes in our area that have been foreclosed on, and I'd recommend it to anyone else with similar ideas.

I always see all this stuff online and in the paper about buying foreclosures, but I have no idea where to go, what to do etc... totally clueless and I was so annoyed by that till I found this the other day surfing on my kindle. I finally have an idea and a good place to start and the frustration is over. Now I just need to find one I like.
