The content of this book is really useful. He breaks down 3 approaches to forecasting horse results, covering the typical and important pieces of data you would would leverage. The three approaches are rule based, assessment based on value attributes and basically neural networks. So not only does he cover each of these in some depth but shows you how to mine and shape the data to be able to build your own systems.
The book itself is great, *** BE WARNED: the Kindle edition is incomplete***. I was really disappointed because it contains none of the figures or tabular data. That means you are only getting half the book, and you really cannot follow some points of explanation at all as a result. I separately bought the epdf version which has all this information.
