This book consists entirely of nice Capri photos with the only text other than the photo captions being a nice introduction of the Capri's history. The content includes the 1969-74 Capri I, 1974-1978 Capri II and the 1979-1987 Capri III.
There is a nice variety of pictures with most being outstanding factory issued press photos including both the exterior and interior. The book also includes some nice pictures of the racing Capri's. Although all the photos are in black & white with the exception of the great cover shot, they are all nicely done.
After the success of the original 1964 Mustang Ford thought a similar concept for Europe would be a big seller. A big seller it was, as the original bodystyle Mk. I version introduced in 1969 would sell over a million copies worldwide as it took Europe by storm. The car was so successful, after a restyle to the hatchback Capri II & III that it remained in production until 1987. Ford named the Capri one of it's top 25 "Heart & Soul" vehicles of all time in honor of the companies 100th anniversay.
I am fortunate enough to own a 1973 Capri, and if you also own one of these cars, the book is a must. Even if you always liked them, but never owned one you will find it enjoyable. If you are looking for more text than just pictures the Capri book by Graham Robson would probably be a better choice.
