Plane crashes, pickpockets, hurricanes--heaven and hell is moving to prevent our able hero Ben (Ben Affleck) from marrying his sweetie (Maura Tierney) in Savannah. At every turn he runs into someone else despairing about the woes of married life. And of course, temptation proves overwhelming in the face of travelling companion Sarah (Sandra Bullock), the wild woman whom he can't seem--or doesn't want--to lose. After a wayward bird flies into the engine of his aeroplane, Ben is forced to find another way to his wedding. He finds himself stuck with Sarah, whom he carried from the plane after she was whacked in the head by his laptop. The heat between them is unmistakable, and the drama in the film comes from the "will he or won't he", both in terms of sleeping with Sarah and meeting up with his bride. Forces of Nature is a fun and sentimental road-trip film, but Ben is so straight-laced, you can't help but want him to fall flat on his face just a little. Bullock is the life of this film, although her free-spirited ways get a bit tired (responsibility is not all bad). The highlight of this movie, though, is definitely the cinematography. The beautiful rain shots and the colours of the scenes lend to the unsettling mood. Format:VHS Tape
For all those people contemplating life, love, and "The One", this film raises all the questions you thought you should never ask. This candid portrayal of love and lust is funny, sad and poignant in all the right places. Sandra Bullock is stunning as the wild woman every man wants to run off with and Ben Affleck reciprocates as the man that every woman would dearly love to settle down with. Large dollops of comedy sit slickly with tear jerking sadness, all of which is interspersed with heart warming romance. If you don't see it, you'll never know just what you might be missing (in life too).

Being a Sandra Bullock fan, I was looking forward to watching this dvd, but was very disappointed. It started off funny, but degenerated into farsical, over the top nonsense. Also, I was not impressed by some of the content (gay bar, lust issues) which I felt trivialised the subject matter. Whilst this dealt with what is no doubt an interesting subject, I felt the film was directed towards men, and the passion of the ending of the film was not matched by the silliness of the middle, and the humour of the beginning. I was waiting for it to end, as it did, fairly predictably. Wish I hadn't wasted my money.

if your looking for one of those films that has all the award winng stuff,like explosions and fights then don't watch this, but if you want a funny, sometimes light hearted, sometimes heavy, with a realistic ending, then you should watch this.
Both characters have something to learn from each other and as with most films, something to show the audience. As a film many viewers will see it a the last temptation of the groom, which it is. but it is also funny, without taking it too far as so many films do.

brilliant film...
I watched this film quite a few years ago and wanted to buy it... now i can watch it as often as i like as i am a huge Sandra Bullock fan.

If you like a fass, then this film is for you! but you must
also like romance and this is corny, very cheesy and slushy. I thought at the end of the film it is just like real life. The only happy ending, is for Ben Affleck. Read more
