Don't be fooled this is not one of your standard reissues. Force It is one of Schenker (and UFO's) greatest moments but this time it has been "remastered" The keenest ear will spot the subtle differences. It also includes a new track rescued from the sessions that produced the album "A million years" which is mellow with an introspective schenker solo hinting at what was to come with Try Me (Moggy's vocals do sound a bit flat though) A nice period piece though. The live extra's all self respecting UFO fans should already have either from the many bootlegged video/DVD Live at the roundhouse or the BBC sessions CD issued a few years back.
To put this in context I bought the vinyl, the original CD, the original remaster 2 on one (With Lights Out) and now I've gladly coughed up for this package. Good value especially with the extensive notes and pics in the booklet.
No mention of the music on the original album as all true blue UFO fans know what they are getting - although i must say try "Between the walls" on max volume.....breathtaking.

If ever a classic album needed a re-issue then this is it!. Superbly done to enhance and improve this is tremendous. My original review heaped praise on this as a landmark UFO classic and now we have a quality recording to savour with bonus material thrown in. As a life long fan of the classic line up I ordered all three re-issues (this plus Phenomenon and No Heavy Pettin) and have not been disappointed. Buy them all if you can!

Wow what a difference a year makes, this album leaps from the speakers and wraps itself around your throat and doesnt let go.From the opening track 'Let It Roll' to the closing 'This Kids' this is one of thee albums of 1975,its a crime that it doesnt feature more prominnently when people talk about the '70's let alone 1975!!

50 seconds into the opening track and schenker's let go with some fantastic soloing and its a move thats repeated throughout the album, this was aband that knew they were good and that belief shines thru the whole album.

'Let it Roll & Shoot Shoot' open the disc and highlight the ease with which UFO could be heavy and melodic at the same time, the acoustic led High Flyer emphasing the point further and if you dont grin from ear to ear when 'Love Lost Love' rips out of your speakers with more astonishing guitar by Schenker then theres no hope for you.

The class continues with the beautiful 'Out in the Street' and heavy rock standard Mother Mary/ This Kids with a couple of undiscovered treats in 'Too Much Of Nothing/Dance Your Life Away' inbetween.

This is truly one of the most underated albums of all time,it provided the back bone for the classic live album 'Strangers In The Night' and could be argued that its UFO'S & Schenkers finest moment, certainly future albums would have several better songs but as a whole this is very hard to beat.

BONUS TRACKS: Only 1 studo track - the Free like 'A million Miles' with some plaintive vocals from Mr Mogg(always overlooked unfairly when it comes to vocalists),this would have sat nicely on the original album. The remaining 5 tracks are all live and are well worth the money particularly if you dont have them already like me.

How can you not give this five stars? This is a great guitar orientated rock album despite Andy Parker's cymbals sounding awful. I have never tired of playing this album and it is still one of my favourites from the band due to the quality of the song writing. There are five classic songs that the band still perform live. "Let it Roll" and "Shoot Shoot" are great heavy rock standards and "Mother Mary" and "This Kid's" are two of the many highlights on the "Strangers" live album. Add to this the wonderful "Out in the Street" and yet another magic album cover by Hipgnosis and you've got one of their best studio albums.

the bonus tracks maybe a good or bad addition to a well liked album but it won't take off the shine of the re-release of this album since its filled mainly with rockers with stand out tracks like "let it roll" shoot shoot" love lost love" and "mother Mary" and adding on a gentler note the acoustic ballad of "high flyer" which is bit of a sweetner to the bands abilities to rock out which deserves its 5 stars alone.

I used to own a vinyl copy of this album, bought in 1975, and was bitterly disapointed when UFO cancelled a concert at the Liverpool Stadium in that year. There is wonderful cover art by hypnosis too of fawcets (hence the title) and ably describes the music within., which is sheer and metallic, but unlike alot of glam ere rock is beautifully recorded and produced. You see, this is a German/British band and the production values are a welcome change to much of the grunge emitted at the time. The drumming is crisp, especially the hi-hat sound which carries alot of the tunes, but best of all is the magnificent guitar work of Scorpion Michael Shenker, who with his requisite flying-V produces some wonderfully disciplined and non-self indulgent 70's hard rock. My favourites are the up-tempo tracks, especially Let it Roll,High Flyer and Dance your Life Away with great vocals by the unfortunately named Brit Phil Mogg. I like the synbiosis of expansive Brit composition and crystal clear German technical perfection which is a welcome antidote to much seventie self-centred scmuck. This is note perfect, exquisitly produced metal rock with tunes you can hum and which don't go on for ages or have endless guitar solos. These are proper songs, beautifully played without a concept to be seen. If you like three minute pop songs with a proper melody you'll love this album as much as I do.
