"What gives you a thrill Kristen?"

The minute I saw Vincent Sorenson, I knew he was trouble. Arrogant. Controlling. Possessive. He was everything I craved, and nothing I needed.

Unfortunately, I couldn't just avoid him. The higher ups at my company decided they needed his business, and I was on the team to bring him in. Vincent Sorenson didn't seem as interested in business as he was in me, but I knew that was a door better left unopened. If I got involved with him, it would only unearth the pain I spent years trying to bury.

I thought I had it under control, but I seriously underestimated Vincent's seductive charm and silver-tongue. I would soon find out how delicious it would feel to let myself fall into this forbidden surrender.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting teaser 14 Nov 2014
By Deborah TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
While I generally try to avoid short teaser books this one was different, it was a teaser for a series but the series consists of good length, reasonably priced books and not the very short expensive ones as is so often the case, plus the books are already out so there's no waiting which is good since I'm not known for my patience.
I enjoyed this book, it goes as expected there's no surprises but then it's the characters, the edge mystery and the sexual tension which make a book like this work and I was intrigued enough to continue on with this series.
Kristen finds herself in the fortunate position of flying to Cape Town with her boss Richard to hopefully sign a new billion dollar client, Vincent, the only problem is Richard is a bit of an ass and it's hard to imagine how he reached, let alone maintains his position in Waterbridge-Howser but then I suppose nearly every firm has a 'Richard' so that answers that.
The attraction between Kristen and Vincent is instant and the first time they meet it almost takes her breath away.
While this teaser holds nothing new it worked for me I want to find out what happens between Kristen and Vincent.
I'm giving 3 stars partly due to the length and also because it is after all just a taste so it seems unfair to give more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well written 11 Nov 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Well where to begin with this, you have an amazingly strong willed lead female character in the form of Kristen who is very career orientated which for me is always a plus beats a female lead who has no control. When you first meet her she is preparing for the biggest meeting of her career and the first time she meets the sexy surfer millionaire that is Vincent.

From the outset of the first book they have obvious chemistry and even though she try's to fight it as she doesn't want to not only loose the firm a massive contract but also jeopardise loosing the job she loves. As the books go on they get very heated but what I like that Pricilla West done was kept you in suspense most of the first book you just want more and you are nearly finished the first book before they even get to the naughty parts.

The second book opens with Kristen's past haunting her dreams this is when it unravels about an abusive ex partner who is call Marty, when he turns up at her home it brings everything back.

By the end of the last book you are in total shock with the events that unravel which I will leave for you to read yourself.

I started this book at bedtime which turned out to be my worst idea because I could not put it down, it got to the last page of book 3 before I realised just how long I had been sat reading which to me is a sign of a great series as it has not happened for a while. You will laugh with the characters, wish for the flirtation to move on to hotter levels then fall in love with them by the end.

Great writing if you ask me would highly recommend these books if you are looking for something to heat you up on these cold winter nights.

Hope you enjoy

1.0 out of 5 stars forbidden surrender 22 Nov 2014

Format:Kindle Edition
I havent read this one yet and i'm not sure yet if i will, while enjoyed reading about Jax and Riley as did my friend i realised when i checked out Kristens story that it was over three books and i think a lot of authors write books and split them up which gets you into the story and you go on to buy the others hence more profit for the writer,i am an avid reader and have read lots of books and most of them are over 400/500 pages long sometimes more and i dont think i should have to pay three times for one book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Honest review given 24 Aug 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I really wanted to enjoy this book. On the face of it, it sounded thrilling, full of action and mystery. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations.
It's well written and there is a good basis for the characters to be really great but I found them to be a little flat.
I thought the book got off to a slow start and felt that not much happened, leaving me feeling a little let down.
The thing that's keeping Kristen from pursuing a relationship (with any man) is not really mentioned in any big way until almost 90% into the book, when suddenly, out if nowhere, she's falling apart.
The book is rather short (only 200+ pages) and a quick read. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either....I know there are more books in the series....I wonder if they'll capture me better than this one did?

4.0 out of 5 stars 3.8 'I Surrender' Stars 19 Mar 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This is the story of Billionaire Bad Boy and very sexy, Vincent Sorenson. He's a surfer who's combined his love of extreme sports with his mechanical engineering knowledge and made lots of money!!

“What kind of guy do you think I am?”
“A dangerous one.”

He needs a wealth asset manager... Enter Kristen, intelligent Harvard Graduate trying to establish her professional career. Her employers WANT Vincent's business. But what and whom does Vincent want?

Kristen's last relationship didn't end well, she still carries the memories and they're not good ones.... She's not looking to open old wounds or go through heartache again. Will her past come back to cause her trouble??

She doesn’t do casual or date clients. He doesn’t usually do permanent; with his jets set lifestyle relationships are tricky. “I want my job more than I want you.” Really? Are you sure, Kristen?

Vincent has a seductive charm, it drips off him and he works his magic on Kristen, but where will it all end?

***

Sometimes things aren't perfect but I still liked
*Sometimes I felt the dialogue sounded a little unnatural. Less is more and the characters, every now and again, had a tendency to over-speak.

*I really would have liked a more impacted ending? It just seemed to fizzle out... But fortunately, as the next book is out, the continuation is there for the taking and I dived right in.....

The lovely feelings
I immediately warmed to the characters. She has a sassiness about her that I really like and I found myself melting over Vincent as his body image was revealed throughout the book. He. Is. Delicious and HOT!!

"I'd never experienced such brain-sizzling oral pleasure before." Lovely!!

Loved this book. The only problem I have is that it is short. I would recommend it to you. It ends on a cliffhanger so you want to buy the other book.
