Approximately 3 years ago magic happened.
Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske (both formerly of Hamburg’s Metal starship HELLOWEEN) joined forces again after being apart for nearly 23 years. As everybody knows Hansen left Helloween already in ‘89 and Kiske in ‘93. Kai went on to form his own outfit GammaRay and Michael enjoyed success on his own and released several solo albums and sang on various projects. But the two never lost touch and Michael appeared on various Gamma Ray albums. But the magic question remained - will the two ever play together in a proper band again? When nobody was really expecting for this to happen, the answer showed up: UNISONIC
Together with Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69), Kosta Zafiriou (ex Pink Cream 69) and Mandy Meyer (known for his work with Asia, Gotthard and Krokus) they formed a strong and exceptional supergroup. Their debut album simply titled Unisonic
was released in spring of 2012 due to phenomenal success and superior critics.
Since then they toured in almost all parts of the world before regrouping themselves near Karlsruhe (Dennis’ and Kosta’s hometown and the location of their studio) to start working on songs for the follow up album and an EP that will precede the second full album.
