Alissa MacMillian "New York Daily News" The promise is made on the cover: "Flyy Girl Returns," and indeed she does! --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

Product Description

Tracy Ellison, the sizzling heroine of the bestselling Flyy Girl, returns in an eye-opening and sharply crafted sequel from "one of the hottest young black male novelists in a long, long time" (Rosalyn McMillan). From tough Philadelphia all the way to glamorous Hollywood, Tracy Ellison has truly walked the walk. Now twenty-eight years old and a big-time movie star, Omar Tyree's infamously uncompromising, erstwhile "Flyy Girl" is going back to her East Coast roots. As she drops in to reconnect with her friends, Tracy seems on the brink of a happily-ever-after existence, bountifully armed as she is with over-the-top beauty, unstoppable attitude, and mountains of cash. But what is life, after all, if not a continuous stream of challenges? Tracy's homecoming stirs up a string of difficult questions about past loves, ambivalent family ties, and her artistic ambitions. Crackling with honesty and passion, For the Love of Money is a triumphant continuation of the singular adventures of one of contemporary fiction's most outrageous young heroines. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

Well... compared to 'Flyy Girl' it's different. 'Flyy girl was mostly about her sex and love life this book is mainly about the character Tracey going forward in her life and getting into her career of the Hollywood word and the ups and downs she goes through. This book inspired me because me being a person who wants to act when am older shows me how hard it actually is so its helpful but compared to 'Flyy Girl' you would be dissapointed but

poor content. 4 Nov 2001

Having waited in anticipation for this book, i was left wondering why i wasted my money, time and effort to plough through what was a muddled plot, light weight story line that did not enhance the authors reputation. The constant references to Eric Jerome-Dickey is Omar Tyree's suicide in terms of quality, subject matter, plot etc; do not bother to buy this book!
