Product Description

Sarah Woodbury is my new favorite author ... I read all the books in the After Cilmeri series in four days! Long after I finished the last book, the stories and characters stayed in my mind, and I kept wishing I could return the world Sarah so skillfully created. I can't wait for the next book and the next ..."  -- Debra Holland, New York Times bestselling author of the Montana Sky Series

In December of 1282, English soldiers ambushed and murdered Llywelyn ap Gruffydd, the Prince of Wales. His death marked the end of Wales as an independent nation and the beginning of over seven hundred years under the English boot.

Footsteps in Time is the story of what might have happened had Llywelyn lived.

And what happens to the two teenagers who save him.

Footsteps in Time is the first book in the After Cilmeri Series. Other books include a novella, Winds of Time, and eight novels: Daughter of Time, Prince of TimeCrossroads in Time, Children of TimeExiles in Time,  Castaways in Time, Ashes of Time, and Warden of Time.

About the Author

With two historian parents, Sarah couldn’t help but develop an interest in the past. She went on to get more than enough education herself (in anthropology) and began writing fiction when the stories in her head overflowed and demanded she let them out. Her interest in Wales stems from her own ancestry and the year she lived in England when she fell in love with the country, language, and people. She even convinced her husband to give all four of their children Welsh names. She makes her home in Oregon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compelling reading 10 Sep 2012

I bought this book after getting the first in the series as a free Download, I have been completely absorbed by these well written and cleverly devised books. The Time travel element is very cleverly dealt with and don't let it put you off as it does not dominate the story, Most of the story is set in 13th Centry Wales, and the characters are just wonderful, when you have read this series you can't help but wonder what if ......I have been so impressed by Sarah Woodbury's writing that I have just purchased the King Arthur series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Footsteps in Time 20 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I bought this book primarily because I know Sarah through Historical Fiction On Line and through her excellent Blog. I research English/Welsh history for my own fledgling novel and Sarah is a wonderful source of information on that period.

I am not normally a Historical Fantasy fan including books that involve Time Travel - BUT! This is so well written and researched that I shall now proceed to purchase the whole series!

A few of the reviews I have seen on Amazon US come close to revealing all in spoilers, so I will refrain from that; restricting myself to saying (as a Welshman), I wish her version of that fateful day at Cilmeri had been the correct one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic 20 Jan 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am hooked on the whole series of books, what started as a free download has led me to download each one in the series as soon as I have finished the last one. Both historic and yet modern in its story telling - a fantastic series. Brilliant

1.0 out of 5 stars oh dear 14 Jun 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
There is a good reason why I do mot normally order free Kindle books and this book just reinforces my opinon. It is easy to see that it has been written by an American. Although historically it does seem to be okay, the language ia just not right. Who in medieval Wales would say "Sorry for your loss"? Frankly, I thought it was rubbish and I have deleted it from my Kindle.

I enjoyed this book very much, the storyline and that of the others in the series would make either a great film or TV series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dividing her time between medieval Wales and present day USA -...
Given that the transitions tend to be involuntary for the most part, challenging may be an understatement. What is not an understatement is that this was a most enjoyable book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good read if you like time travel books
-- which I do. I bought the next in the series which was quite good - but sometimes as with films the follow up of a tale is best left to the imagination of the reader

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
Can't fault the story telling; the flow of the series you read the first book and you have to read the rest it is compelling and so real you feel it could happen.

3.0 out of 5 stars Footsteps in Time
Reasonable enough except that as a 'local', there were too many impossibilities. Confusion initially as to where they were, later the car starting 2 years later.
