Wayne the Enigma 9 Aug. 2013
By P. Cherches - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Rather than going the route of some jazz biographies that take a session-by-session approach, this biography instead focuses on the total human being, which in Wayne Shorter's case, an oracle, a zen master of musical and verbal conundrums, is just the right approach for an understanding of where the music is coming from.

Still intrigued 2 May 2014
By Gregg Telian - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I love Wayne's music, and his playing. It was good to read of his philosophy and get a small insight into how he developed.
Tantalising is the best way I could describe it - a small drop of Shorter left me wanting more
