DVD Description

They’re back bigger and better than ever before Footballer’s Wives: The Complete Fourth Series. Old favourites, new characters and a host of guest celebrities are featured in the nine episodes from the 2005 series.

EPISODE 1: The Sparks are on a relaxing team holiday in Spain, but it’s not all fun in the sun. When a poolside party gets out of hand, the players soon find themselves in hot

water with the police.

EPISODE 2: It’s a sad day for Conrad and Amber as they bury their dead son. Meanwhile Jackie and Roger tie the knot and the team and their wives flock to the beautiful garden party reception.

EPISODE 3: It’s the day of baby Troy’s Greek themed christening. Tanya blissfully plays the role of proud mum, unaware that Amber is hell-bent on revenge.

EPISODE 4: Conrad is furious when a DNA test proves that Amber is Troy's real mother. Is this the end for Tanya, the ultimate Footballers' Wife?

EPISODE 5: Amber is given the chance to be a pop princess when she is asked to record 'Bhangra Bootie', a single for a top record producer. Footballers Wives 3 is also available on

EPISODE 6: Conrad indulges in a drastic but artistic display of affection to win back his ex-wife Amber. It could be just the proof she needs to see how much he loves her.

EPISODE 7: Lucy thinks she has at last found a soul mate, even though she knows that the likelihood of meeting a genuine man over the internet is full of risk.

EPISODE 8: Roger and Jackie’s marriage has hit crisis point and Seb’s determined to twist the knife in even further.

EPISODE 9: Lucy is hell-bent on making her escape from Bruno and runs off straight into the arms of Giles... but is he as dependable as she thinks?

Look, this is total, total trash. But revel in it. It's glossy, silly, out-and-out escapism. And you'll never have so much fun unless you get to star in one of those Sparks shower scenes yourself :-). Sometimes it gets so embarrassing you have to jump behind the Versace-upholstered sofa. On DVD it's not something you can watch over and over again, 'cos there 'aint any new layers of meaning, exactly, to explore. Characters and themes get dropped from episode to episode like tubs of popcorn at a Saturday matinee. But all the characters are buff, bad and broody. What more do you want?

Beginning with Episode #5 I realized how integral Zoe Lucker is to FW. I still enjoyed the 4th Series, but gotta knock it down to 4 stars for losing Zoe half way through and replacing her with drippy Lucy. Still an overall great production and Thank God Hazel Baily (Alison Newman) remained through the end.

PURE A R T! 23 Jan 2011
I have been a long time FW fan - Die hard, some might say. Although the demise of Jason after series 2 left something to be desired, causing series 3 to lag a little (IMO), it is here, in series 4, where the show hits its ridiculous, campy, GLORIOUSLY smooth & seductive stride. It becomes a cheesetastic romp of the hilarious, the absurd, and the SO WRONG ITS RIGHT!

Where do I even start? Well, on a superficial note, THE MEN! We are introduced to aging rocker Gary Ryan, and, ladies, let me just tell you, his weave (aka. that dead slab of dog fur that died on his head) HAD ME AT HELLO! Between his lecherous attempts to seduce, drug, kill, or dispose of anyone in his path, his bulging, pus ridden eye, and his magnificent collection of polyester leisure suits, the man has it ALL and is an assault on the senses. I am CONVINCED that David Lynch was a ghost writer for some of his scenes, especially when he croons on the mic or engages in some of his, um, bizarre fetishes, b/c it just has to be seen to be believed!

THEN, we have the bookish psycho in nerd's clothing Dr. Giles Arrowsmith. Not to give too much away, but again, the show dips into some truly TWISTED territory with this particular nut job, and I sat with baited breath, just waiting for this glorious creature to grace the screen. The climax is not only THRILLING, ITS HILARIOUS!!! My boyfriend and I were REELING, laughing til our sides split at this COMPLETELY ABSURD hot mess of a character. We lovingly dubbed him 'Dr. Awesomesmith', b/c he is JUST THAT - A BIG BALL OF AWESOME!

Finally, DARIUS FRY, that pubeless little gnome once so innocently besotted with Tanya, veers into DARKER territory here and we see glimpses that he may in fact be a true MONSTER of a man. Watching his elfin little face pout and SEA DUCE was the most deliciously hilarious treat, and kept us HOOKED!

I think we plowed through the entire series in like one day (We both had the flu - BUT WHAT A FUN WAY TO SPEND A SICK DAY!!!)

There is SO MUCH MORE I could delve into, but I don't want to spoil the fun. If you're into dudes who are packin' when it comes to facial moles, KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR BRUNO! I'm CONVINCED that thing had magical powers, and was the source of both his rage AND his genius. Also, Amber's dog KRISHNA does something that is BEYOND WORDS AMAZING! And this is coming from a dog hater! That thing is straight up PUNK ROCK, though, and I want him for my own now!

K, enough gushing, JUST CLICK ON THE ORDER BUTTON RIGHT NOW IF YOU ARE AN AWESOME PERSON WHO LOVES TRASH AND COMEDY!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT! MOST AMAZING PIECE OF ART EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
