Having commenced my coaching career on a course with Richard 16 years ago, he recently delivered a session to my players on motivation and confidence building. His ability to simplify the concepts discussed in this book is fantastic and the positive impact this has had on me as a coach, as well as the players, has been very significant.

A first class resource for any aspiring coach who wants to add and develop the skills they have at their disposal.

This is an excellent book.

I am an experienced coach with 19 years of coaching everyone from recreational kids to senior men's and women's teams at regional league level.

I read a lot of excellent books and this is up there with the best.

I knew a bit about NLP beforehand but this book is, first and foremost, a PRACTICAL book with easily explained and structured practices to get you improving from day 1.

It isn't bogged down with scientific research. I want to emphasise that it is very practical and as previous reviewers have stated it can be applied to any sport and life in general.

And specifically, if you are a coach/manager or a parent there is a FANTASTIC section especially for you. Brilliant value, brilliant content and a brilliant book. Buy it, enjoy it and use it.

Being a keen footballer, sportsperson and simply into personal development, this book caught my attention immediately. It is one of those books that you just can't put down, and from the first page I was hooked!!
Though it specifies football on the title page, this book can and should be applied to every area of your life. It contains really easy and effective techniques, written in a way that is so easy to understand.The more you read, the more idea's and potential solutions it will generate for you - definately a five star read.
