Manufacturer's Description

LONDON (January 11th, 2008) - SEGA Europe Ltd. today announced that Football Manager 2008 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will be hitting stores in Spring 2008. Football Manager 2008 is the next chapter of the renowned Football Manager series developed by BAFTA winning studio Sports Interactive Ltd. The latest console version of Football Manager will be fully updated for the new season, including transfers being made in the mid-season transfer window, allowing players to select their favourite club or international team and guide them to the title.

'Football Manager 2008 on Xbox 360 gives console gamers the chance to dive into the wonderful world of football management.' commented Miles Jacobson, Studio Director of Sports Interactive Ltd. 'With the same feature set to the PC version and various online modes, we hope that there is something for every Xbox 360 owner to get stuck into.'

With all-new features, improved gameplay and a depth only seen from Sports Interactive Ltd., the whole range of Football Manager 2008 titles offer a management simulation that is second to none.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best bar none, 31 Mar 2008

This the best football manager game available on consoles. It takes a little getting used to, compared with the 2007 version, but once you get used to the controls you'll realise it really is the cream of the crop. I don't know what Stephen W Newton was expecting. This is for the football purist. It's a thousand times deeper than LMA Manager so if you want the full experience of football management on consoles, then you must buy this game. My only gripe is that you can only have 10 leagues from 3 different nations, but that must be the limitations on the 360.

4.0 out of 5 stars FOOTBALL MANAGER 2008 REVIEW, 23 July 2009

HAVING BEEN AN ORIGINAL FAN OF LMA MANAGER I WAS DUBIOUS ABOUT BUYING FOOTBALL MANAGER BUT SUCCUMED AS THERE WAS NO SIGN ON THE HORIZON OF ANOTHER LMA. I ORIGINALLY BOUGHT FOOTBALL MANAGER 2007 AND WAS INSTANTLY IMPRESSED BY THE INFO AND DATA. IT HAD SO MUCH MORE DEPTH THAN LMA. MY ONLY GRIPE WAS THE LACK OF A 3D ENGINE. FM 2007 HAD THE ODD GLITCH OR TWO SO WHEN 2008 CAME OUT I WAS HOPING THEY HAD IRONED OUT THE PROBLEMS. WHAT CAN I SAY, FOR THE DIE HARD FOOTBALL FAN THIS IS EXCELLENT. I CANT STOP PLAYING AND THE WORSTE THING IS IT ACTUALLY TELLS YOU HOW MANY HOURS, DAYS AND WEEKS YOU HAVE BEEN PLAYING IT. FRIGHTENING! I CANT SWITCH IT OFF. IF YOU HAVE EVER HAD DREAMS OF BEING ALEX FERGUSON OR ANY UP AND COMING MANAGER THIS MUST BE THE CLOSEST THING YOU CAN GET. BUY IT, PLAY IT, BUT PROMISE ME YOU'LL TURN IT OFF BEFORE DAYLIGHT!

am i the only one that cant seem to change my formation to another preset formation.
im playing international as wales manager ive read through the manual twice and just nothing i press seems to bring this option up... i cant play 4-4-2 all my life...
so ive given up... i dont remember 2006 fm on 360 being this fiddly to navigate.
a little bit dissapointed.
