This DVD is an excellent summary of the first 10 years of the Premiership. Narrated by sky's Martin Tyler, it takes you year by year through the premierships first 10 seasons showing about 30 of each year's best goals.

In addition to that Martin fills you in with what happened in the title race, who got relegated and all that sort of thing. As a Liverpool fan it gets a bit sickening watching manyoo keep winning but unfortunetly that's the way it has gone isn't it?

Additional features include a countdown of the 10 greatest goals (number 1 incidentally is Beckham's half-way line lob against Wimbeldon), all the stats from each season and a special on Matt Le Tissier's finest strikes (wow!).

Gripes - two - firstly, it doesn't have Steven Gerrard's goal against manyoo on it and secondly, it doesn't include last season, i.e. 2002-03.

Positives - It's an excellent collection to watch with mates as it helps to remind you of some many things, for example "whatever happened to so and so" and is a great one for starting debates, e.g. "did Dennis mean it?", or the eternal what goal really is the best debate.

absolutely astonashing video

the only thing wrong with is that there are to many man utd league wins

but it really does feature some excellent goals

david beckhams half way line strike and so much more

it shows over 10,000 goals from the first decade of the fa premier league and at the end they have a top ten gals of the decade voted by fans across the world

well worth the money i promise

They’re all here. Beckhams chip from the half way line, Di Canio, s scissor kick volley, Le Tissiers mazy run and looping exocet, Cantona, s surge forward, floaty chip and impression of a statue celebration. Yes all the great moments from a decade of premiership goal action are here so this video very much does what it says on the tin.
The goals are presented in chronological order with a brief potted history thrown in by narrator Martin Tyler. What is the point of this? If I’d wanted a history of the Premiership I’d have bought a video called “A History of the Premiership”. I wanted screaming volleys, bullet headers, jinking runs and other goal related clichés. There is plenty of those-the goals that is, not the clichés- although…..There are also interviews with players of prominence most of which are about as illuminating as a black hole down a mineshaft.
: Alan Shearer: “I hit it and luckily it went in.” Gee, thanks Al.
Tyler’s nasal tones get on my nerves after a while but then I don’t have Sky and aren’t used to it. The action is accompanied by a jarring sub-techno soundtrack so dull I expected John Major to be credited as a co-writer. What is it about sport’s videos that they have to have anodyne dance music in the background? Is it a contractual requirement? Someone’s making a fortune providing this torpid tripe and they need to be stopped.
Overall those gripes aside this presents any football fan an excuse to pass an enjoyable hour or so, plus for some reason for those of a more defensive disposition, there is a brief section on goalkeepers. Anything that keeps a hyperactive seven year old quiet is money well spent as far as I’m concerned.
All together now...Gooooooooaaaallllllll!!!
